CHEYENNE, Wyo. – Cheyenne is well represented in the latest Wyopreps.com Coach’s and Media girls high school basketball poll.
The Cheyenne East girls basketball team once again held onto the #1 state ranking as they received 11 of the 13 first place votes. Currently East is sporting an impressive 7-1 overall record.
Coming in #2 in the Wyopreps poll is the girls team from Cheyenne Central who is sitting at a 5-1 record. They moved up from the third spot in last week’s rankings.
Here are the top five rankings according to the Wyopreps.com Coach’s and Media Girls Basketball Poll for the week of 1/9/2020:
- Cheyenne East – 189 points (11 first place votes)
- Cheyenne Central – 126
- Thunder Basin – 111 (2 first place votes)
- Green River – 75
- Natrona – 54
All but Thunder Basin are part of the Taco John’s Invitational that starts this Thursday and goes through Saturday with most of the games taking place in Cheyenne.
