CHEYENNE, Wyo. – After being closed for over 24-hours, the westbound lane of I-80 between Cheyenne and Laramie has reopened this afternoon.
According to the Wyoming Department of Transportation (WYDOT) road report, travelers can expect dry roads with strong winds as they drive over the summit.
Hundreds of miles of I-80 were closed on Sunday morning, due to WYDOT’s “Rolling Closure” procedure. The closed roads caused truck drivers and motorists alike to scramble to find lodging in Cheyenne as they waited for the interstate to reopen.
