CHEYENNE, Wyo. – The Larimer County Health Department confirmed via tweet on Monday, March 9th, 2020 that one of their residents came back with a presumptive positive test result for Coronavirus.
In a following tweet the Larimer Health Department says that the patient is a female in her 50s from Larimer County who has been diagnosed with pneumonia.
Health officials went on to say that their investigation into this case is just beginning, and more information would be given to the public as it becomes available.
Colorado Governor Jared Polis released a statement on Twitter saying that the Colorado Department of health and local health agencies were working to gather more information, and contact any individuals who have had close contact with the patient.
Colorado now has 9 confirmed cases of Covid-19 in this outbreak.
Larimer County includes the cities of Fort Collins and Loveland.
