CHEYENNE, Wyo – The National Weather Service in Cheyenne is calling for a return to winter weather in southeastern Laramie County over the next couple of days.
For today, the NWS predicts a chance of sprinkles before 11am, then a slight chance of rain and snow showers between 11am and noon, then a slight chance of rain showers after noon. They say we can expect a high around 51, with a west southwest wind at 5 to 10 mph increasing to 15 to 20 mph in the afternoon. Chance of precipitation is 20%.
For tonight, the weather report goes on to anticipate a chance of rain showers before 7pm, then a chance of rain and snow showers between 7pm and 3am, then a chance of snow showers after 3am. A low around 28 is predicted, with west northwest winds of 5 to 15 mph becoming east northeast after midnight. Chance of precipitation is 50%.

On Friday, March 27th, the weather service calls for snow showers and a high near 38. Chance of precipitation is 90%. New snow accumulation of 2 to 4 inches possible.
For Friday evening snow showers are considered likely, mainly before midnight, with a low around 24. Blustery conditions are expected, with a south wind 15 to 20 mph becoming north northwest in the evening. Chance of precipitation is 60%. New snow accumulation of 1 to 2 inches possible.
