CHEYENNE, Wyo. – A 51-year old man was arrested and now faces multiple criminal charges after the Laramie County Sheriff’s Office allege that they discovered him inside of a vacated trailer with various illicit narcotics.

According to law enforcement paperwork Jonathan Boznango was placed into custody on the evening of May 12th, 2020.

Boznango faces recommended felony charges of Burglary, Possession with Intent to Deliver Methamphetamine as well as misdemeanor charges of Possession of a Controlled Substance – Liquid Form, and Possession of Methamphetamine.

Deputies with the LCSO say that they were dispatched to the 6100 block of Laramie Street in reference to a verbal disturbance.

They report that when they arrived on the scene they made contact with an individual who lived in the same trailer park. According to court documents, the individual told deputies that they had witnessed people taking furniture items out of a vacant trailer.

Court papers say that the witness told authorities that they had engaged in a verbal disturbance with the people entering the vacated trailer but could not identify any of them. The witness went on to tell the deputies that they knew none of the people were residents of the trailer park.

The witnesses reportedly explained to the deputies that the trailer was set to be demolished in the next few months.

Law enforcement says that the witnesses then told them that they believed that there was still somebody inside the vacated trailer.

Court papers say that the witness explained to the deputies that they had seen the person inside of the trailer have various visitors coming and going throughout the day and night.

The witnesses said that the length of time the people visiting the trailer was only a few minutes at a time.

An affidavit filed in the case says that when the deputies went to knock on the trailer door they heard a dog bark. They said when they knocked again the dog was silent. Deputies observed that the barrel lock of the door to the trailer was removed and a towel was threaded through the hole where it once was.

Court documents describe deputies they were entering the trailer they announced but nobody answered. They observed food items on the stove that looked like they had been prepared in the last few hours.

According to the deputies they made contact with Boznango as they reached a back room in the trailer. They report that Boznango advised them that he was “watching the house” for his friend.

Court papers say that a drug-sniffing K9 unit was then used to search the room where Boznango was located. It is alleged that the K9 unit gave a positive indication that there were narcotics located in room.

Upon a manual search of the room, deputies say that they located syringes that contained 2 grams of black liquid. Authorities report that the liquid was tested and gave back as a presumptive positive for being heroin.

The affidavit says that deputies also located a box in the room that contained a plastic zip bag with 0.9 grams of a white crystal substance inside of it. The substance was tested and came back with a presumptive positive for being methamphetamine.

According to law enforcement a further search of the room uncovered various jewellery bags and a digital scale located. They allege these are items that are often used by narcotic dealers.

Boznango made his initial appearance in Laramie County Circuit Court on May 14th, 2020.

He was given a $5000 cash bond.

All of those cited or arrested are presumed innocent until convicted in a court of law. Charges are subject to change following official filings from the Laramie County District Attorney’s Office.
