1 Casper resident dead, 1 injured after wind gust causes Harley to crash near Lander

CHEYENNE, Wyo. – One person is dead and another injured after a motorcycle crash near Lander on Aug. 13.

According to the Wyoming Highway Patrol, the 2015 Harley Davidson was traveling westbound on US 287 southeast of Lander when an “unexpectedly strong gust of wind” caused the Harley to leave the right side of the roadway and overturn.

The driver is identified as Casper resident Anthony Muckley, 55, who died at the scene. The passenger, Tola Muckley, 50, also of Casper, was transported to the Wyoming Medical Center by helicopter for injuries sustained in the crash.

Both were wearing helmets, according to the WHP.
