CHEYENNE, Wyo. – On October 10th Cheyenne Animal Control (CAC) officers were dispatched to a home in 316 Central Avenue area where they discovered two dogs that had been left to fend for themselves with no food or water.

According to CAC officials, the animals have severely emaciated bodies and were only hours away from death. The dogs are now in the 24-hour care of the in-house medical team at the Cheyenne Animal Shelter and are in stable condition.

Officers are currently trying to locate the owner – Roy Burnett.

What is known is that he left the dogs in the care of a person who goes by the name of “Indio.”

“Anyone with information regarding the whereabouts of either Roy Burnett or “Indio” is asked to contact Cheyenne Animal Control at 307-635-1453,” CAC officials said.
