Rawlins PD announce arrest two suspects on charges involving heroin, meth

CHEYENNE, Wyo. – A Rawlins pair were arrested on multiple charges, including Conspiracy charges involving methamphetamine and heroin.

Rawlins Police say that officers responded to a Rawlins hotel for a report of a female with an outstanding warrant.

Upon arrival, police say that they made contact with 41-year-old Rawlins resident Hughes and 33-year-old Thwreatt. Following an investigation, police say that both were arrested and charged with Conspiracy to Deliver Methamphetamine and Heroin and Possession of Meth and Heroin.

“Hughes was also charged with Escape from Official Detention and Interference with a Police Officer,” Rawlins police said in a statement Tuesday.

Further details regarding the arrest and investigation were not immediately available.

All of those cited or arrested are presumed innocent until convicted in a court of law. Charges are subject to change following official filings from the Carbon County District Attorney’s Office.
