CHEYENNE, Wyo. – On Monday afternoon, the National Weather Service has announced that the High Wind Warnings will remain in effect for a large portion of southeast Wyoming until 5 PM MST Tuesday.
“We may see a slight lull in the stronger wind speeds (outside of the wind-prone areas) this evening and overnight, but high winds are likely to return on Tuesday morning and afternoon with widespread gusts of 60-70 MPH possible,” the NWS stated in their latest guidance.
Weather officials add that travel will remain dangerous for light/high profile vehicles including campers and tractor trailers due to a high blow over risk.

Some patchy blowing snow is also possible, which may result in hazardous road surface conditions and low visibilities, according to the National Weather Service in Cheyenne.
