Multiple crashes reported on Wyoming highways amid spring snow

CHEYENNE, Wyo. — Much of the Cowboy State is seeing snowfall on Monday, April 19 and crashes have been reported on multiple highways.

A crash on WYO 22 over Teton Pass has blocked the travel lane at around milepost 12, according to the Wyoming Department of Transportation.

The crash was reported at 12:27 pm Monday and motorists were urged to expect delays.

A crash reported at 11:41 am on WYO 212 was blocking a travel lane between the Montana state line and the South Dakota state line at milepost 6.5, according to WYDOT.

A crash reported at 11:39 am on I-25 near Casper was blocking the left lane at milepost 189.

A crash on US 20 reported at 10:45 am was reportedly blocking northbound travel near Worland at milepost 173. That advisory was cancelled at around 10:52 am.

No trailer traffic is currently allowed over Teton Pass. Chain Law – Level 1 is in effect on US 16 over Powder River Pass from Buffalo to WYO 435 with no unnecessary travel from the Hunter Ranger Station to Deer Haven Lodge.

Snow is expected to continue in many areas into Monday evening and in some areas into the early morning hours Tuesday.
