CHEYENNE, Wyo. — Jordyn Medina, a senior student at Central High, was selected as Laramie County School District 1’s Student of the Week for the week of April 4, according to a release from the district.
He was nominated because of his “perseverance, hard work and determination.”
“What makes him most unique amongst his peers is his optimistic attitude and his positive approach with everyone he encounters,” Principal Fred George said.
LCSD #1 says that he has an accumulative GPA of 3.0 while being enrolled in some harder classes like computer programming and computer graphics on top of the normal core academics.
After graduation, Medina plans to attend Laramie County Community College before moving to the University of Advancing Technology in Tempe, Arizona, to major in game studies.
