CHEYENNE, Wyo. — The Cheyenne City Council has looked at several resolutions regarding the building of new firehouses in the city.
Both resolutions were approved during the meeting last night.
The first of these resolutions would be to convert 2.9 acres of the Dutcher Ball Field Property to a non-recreational use to be used to build a new station. This property is located on Converse Avenue. In the resolution, three different areas have been proposed as replacements for the property that will be lost through this conversion.
The second resolution is a professional service agreement between the City of Cheyenne and Terracon Consulting Engineers. The agreement would be for Terracon to do material testing and special inspection required for the site and building construction for the City of Cheyenne Fire and Rescue Departments’ new stations.
