The Cheyenne native said she looks forward to spending quality time with her loved ones.

“I just want to be back at my family’s ranch, helping my family and being with the grandkids,” Eisele said.

During Tuesday’s meeting, Laramie County commissioners and chairman Troy Thompson took a moment to thank Eisele for her work over the past decade.

“We’re certainly going to miss you,” Thompson said. “You’ve always been a champion around here and we really appreciate that; thank you for your service.”

Tammy Deisch, the current chief deputy of the treasurer’s office, will be sworn in to the role on Jan. 3, 2023, after running unopposed during the county’s primary election in August.

“[Deisch] is great; she knows this office very well and has worked here for a long time,” Eisele said.

The Laramie County treasurer serves a four-year term and collects taxes including property taxes, motor vehicle fees and sales taxes on vehicle purchases.
