CHEYENNE, Wyo. — Governor Mark Gordon has ordered the Wyoming state flag to be flown at half-staff at the Capitol Building and in Fremont County from sunrise to sunset on Wednesday, Jan. 11 in honor and memory of Representative William Budd Jr.

Budd represented Fremont County in the Wyoming House of Representatives from 1967 to 1971 and served as chairman of the House Revenue Committee.

He passed away on Jan. 2.

The half staff notice is only at the Capitol Building and in Fremont County. Other flags are to remain at full staff.

Correction, Jan. 6, 2023: The office of Governor Gordon issued a correction this afternoon that the state flag at the Capitol building and in Fremont County will be flown at half staff on Wednesday, Jan. 11, not Monday, Jan. 9 as stated in the original press release.
