Police investigate shots fired in east Cheyenne

There are no injuries reported at this time.

CHEYENNE, Wyo. — Cheyenne police officers responded to a report of shots fired near the 2500 block of East 12th Street on Tuesday night.

There are no injuries reported at this time, according to a news release by the Cheyenne Police Department.

The incident occurred at around 7:45 p.m. Per the release, a person was traveling through the area while firing multiple gunshots.

One residence on the 2400 block of East 11th Street was struck by gunfire and casings were located within an alley on the 1000 block of Crook Avenue.

Responding officers were able to contact several people of interest.
