Cheyenne City Council approves consent agenda, including school safe routes funding

CHEYENNE, Wyo. — The Cheyenne City Council approved several items on its consent agenda at its regular meeting today.

Among the items is a $282,523.62 Professional Services Agreement between the City of Cheyenne, Cheyenne Metropolitan Planning Organization and Stantec Consulting Services Inc. for the Safe Routes to School Plan Update. The consulting service will analyze existing infrastructure, institutional and programmatic barriers that deter Laramie County School District 1 students from walking or biking to school. The results will then be compiled into a report that the city and LCSD1 can implement.

The council also approved an $86,000 contract between the City of Cheyenne, Office of Youth Alternatives and Laramie County for Youth Crisis Shelter Services. The services include 24/7/365 availability for crisis support, crisis meeting assessment, support services for youth families redirected from JSC-YCC, family counseling and support for families in crisis; individual and family goal development for admitted youth; and discharge planning and follow-up services.

Resolutions

  • Referred to Finance Committee a resolution re-appropriating the Fiscal Year 2023 Budget of the City of Cheyenne according to the provisions of W.S. §§ 16-4-112 & 16-4-113.
  • Referred to Finance Committee a resolution expressing the support of the Governing Body for the establishment of an Urban Renewal Authority Fiduciary Fund.

Leases/Contract/Legal

  • Approved a contract between the City of Cheyenne, Laramie County Sheriff’s Office and Laramie County for housing prisoners at the Laramie County Detention Center.
  • Approved in an amount not to exceed $282,523.62 a Professional Services Agreement between the City of Cheyenne, Cheyenne Metropolitan Planning Organization and Stantec Consulting Services Inc. for the Safe Routes to School Plan Update.
  • Approved in the amount of $86,000 a contract between the City of Cheyenne, Office of Youth Alternatives and Laramie County for Youth Crisis Shelter Services.
  • Approved in an amount not to exceed $127,480.60 a Professional Services Agreement between the City of Cheyenne and Rythm EFX LLC for Cheyenne Depot Plaza Christmas Light Design and Installation Project.
  • Approved in an amount not to exceed $238,289.41 a Development Agreement between the City of Cheyenne and Tru-Grit Land Development LLC to outline the responsibilities for public infrastructure improvements for the Harmony Valley Subdivision.
  • Referred to Finance Committee a Grant Agreement between the City of Cheyenne and the Federal Transit Administration to fund Transit Operations.
  • Referred to Finance Committee a Professional Services Agreement between the City of Cheyenne and Wilson & Company Inc. for consultant services for the Pershing Boulevard and Windmill Road Intersection and Signal Design Project.
  • Referred to Finance Committee a Professional Services Agreement between the City of Cheyenne and Design Workshop Inc. for the City of Cheyenne Parks and Recreation Master Plan Project.

Contract Modification

  • Referred to Finance Committee an amendment to Contract No. 7521 between the City of Cheyenne and Laramie County for Animal Control Services.
