CHEYENNE, Wyo. — Cheyenne’s newest nonprofit, Angelina’s Dream Foundation, will be holding its first car show this weekend.

Angelina’s Dream was named after Angelina, whose life was tragically cut short at 16. According to the foundation’s mission statement, “Angelina possessed an extraordinary desire to make a positive impact and see the goodness in every person she encountered. … Angelina consistently sought to alleviate the suffering of others.” The foundation was created in order to make sure Angelina’s kindness and warmth will continue to make a positive impact on the community.

The foundation will be holding its first annual car show on Saturday, Aug. 26 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. with registration beginning at 8 a.m. The entry fee for cars is $25. There will be live music, face painting, and food trucks at the event, as well as a variety of vehicles, from muscle cars and hot rods to off-roaders and motorcycles. The event will be held at 1312 W. 8th St. in Cheyenne.

The foundation will be raffling off a 1995 custom Chevy truck and a custom toolbox, with funds going towards Cheeks, a beauty school located in Cheyenne, which was one of the schools Angelina was thinking of attending after college.
