LANDER, Wyo. — A vehicle crash occurred in Fremont County near Lander, resulting in a fatality.
The incident happened on North 2nd Street, close to the Dutch Ed Lane intersection, around 2 a.m. on Nov. 11.
Samantha Adam, 32, from North Dakota was driving northbound when her Nissan veered off the road. Crossing Dutch Ed Lane, the car plunged into an irrigation canal and overturned, becoming submerged underwater.
The WHP noted she was not wearing a seatbelt at the time of the accident.
The time of the crash is estimated as the vehicle was not discovered until daylight. Road and weather conditions were clear and dry.
