CHEYENNE, Wyo. — A fire south of Highway 230 by Mason Lane and Lewis Road has burned approximately 100 acres along the Laramie River due to high winds and dry conditions, according to a press release from the Albany County Homeland Security and Emergency Management.
Albany County fire resources are on scene with 18 personnel and six apparatuses, with additional resources being brought in to assist in the suppression efforts.
As of 11 a.m., it is approximately 50% contained.
Drivers should avoid the area and give responders room to work.
