(LIST) Cheyenne city offices, facilities with modified Thanksgiving schedules

CHEYENNE, Wyo. — As Thanksgiving approaches, the City of Cheyenne is reminding residents that some services and facilities will have modified schedules.

The schedules are as follows:

  • City offices will be closed Thursday, Nov. 23 and Friday, Nov. 24
  • Residents who would typically have trash and recycle pickup on Thursday, Nov. 23 will instead have pickup on Saturday, Nov. 25. They should have containers out by 6 a.m. Trash and Recycle pickup will remain as scheduled for Friday, Nov. 24.
  • The Solid Waste Transfer Station at 220 N. College Drive, the Household Hazardous Waste at 220 N. College Drive and Happy Jack Landfill will close to observe Thanksgiving Day and will reopen Friday, Nov. 24.
  • The Compost Facility at 3714 Windmill Road will be closed Nov. 23 and 24 and will reopen Saturday, Nov. 25.
  • Cheyenne Transit Program offices will be closed Nov. 23 and 24 and busses will not run.
  • The Cheyenne Botanic Gardens and the Paul Smith Children’s Village will be closed Nov. 19 to Nov. 24 for cleaning and repairs and the Thanksgiving holiday. The facilities will reopen on Saturday, Nov. 25.
  • The Cheyenne Aquatic Center will be closed on Nov. 23 and will be open Nov. 22 and Nov. 24 from 6 a.m. to 3 p.m. Patrons should check with Aquatic Center website (www.cheyenneaquatics.com/) for open swim times.
  • The Cheyenne Ice and Events Center will be closed on Nov. 23 and will be open on Nov. 24 from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. Patrons should check the Ice and Events Center website (www.cheyenneiceandevents.com/) for public skating and other scheduled events.
