DOUGLAS, Wyo. — A 43-year-old man has been charged following a two-vehicle rollover crash on Sunday that resulted in multiple injuries and the death of one juvenile passenger.
According to the Wyoming Highway Patrol, the crash occurred just west of Douglas near milepost .5 on Wyoming Highway 91 Sunday evening. Troopers were notified of the crash at 8:22 p.m. and arrived on scene shortly after.
Troopers on scene located the two vehicles; a westbound 2017 Chevy 3500 had crossed the dividing line and collided head-on with a 2017 Ford Edge that had been traveling east at the time of the crash, according to a WHP press release.
The driver of the Ford, identified as 32-year-old Justine Crouch, from Douglas, was life-flighted to Denver for her injuries, along with one juvenile passenger who had been in the backseat of the vehicle. The second juvenile had been riding in the front passenger seat at the time of the crash and died from sustained injuries on scene, the WHP said.
The ages or identities of the juveniles were not released by the WHP.
The Chevrolet driver, identified as 43-year-old Douglas resident Wesley Kersey, refused medical treatment at the scene. He was charged with one count of aggravated vehicular homicide, two counts of aggravated vehicular assault with serious bodily injury and two counts of aggravated driving under the influence of alcohol with serious bodily injury, according to the WHP press release on the incident.
