CHEYENNE, Wyo. — “This photo was taken at 9:30 p.m. the night of the 22nd,” writes photographer Jen K. “The fires were raging, and I was keeping a close eye as we were in pre-evacuation status. I sit on our roof quite often and enjoy our Wyoming skies; it’s my favorite thing. This night though, while the sky was absolutely gorgeous; you could see and feel the chaos within. It has been heartbreaking to watch.”
