CHEYENNE, Wyo. — A 20-year-old Wyoming resident died in a motorcycle crash on Aug. 28. The incident occurred around 8:05 a.m. at the intersection of East Lincolnway and Nationway.
The crash involved a single motorcycle, driven by Ayden Maitner, who was heading east on East Lincolnway (US 30). As Maitner approached the intersection with Nationway, the motorcycle veered from the right lane into the right turn lane. Continuing past the intersection, the motorcycle left the roadway and collided with a nearby building.
Authorities reported that speed likely contributed to the crash. Road conditions were dry, and the weather was clear at the time of the accident. Maitner was not wearing a helmet when the crash occurred, according to the Wyoming Highway Patrol fatal crash summary.
