CHEYENNE, Wyo. — The Troopers Legacy Corps has extended its deadline for auditions.
That’s according to a release from the corps, which stated that registration will officially close on Feb. 15, but auditions and rehearsals have started for those who have signed up or will sign up.
The registration was extended so that those chosen can plan their time off for 2025, because the corps will be returning to Indianapolis, Indiana, from Aug. 3 to Aug. 10 to compete at Soundsport and various other performances around the area.
“Lines are filling up — mellophones, snares, and multi-tenors are already at capacity!” the release states. “If your section is full try your hand in another section to make this year’s performances.”
Volunteers and sponsors are also highly encouraged to sign up.
“As an all-age group passionate about honoring the history of the Troopers Drum & Bugle Corps, the Troopers Legacy Corps members span a broad range of ages, from teens who are dipping their toes into drum corps with their parents to retirees who have picked up their instrument again for the first time in decades,” the release states. “What they all have in common is a love of the Troopers and a desire to experience the thrill of the music and camaraderie once again.”
