LARAMIE, Wyo. — The University of Wyoming has announced that it has successfully installed a new scoreboard at Cowboy Field.

That’s according to a release from UW, which states that the school collaborated with the city of Laramie to successfully install the new scoreboard — “a project made possible through teamwork and community partnership.”

The release states that the scoreboard installation was funded by Albany County Recreation Board grants and was completed at no cost, thanks to the combined efforts of the City of Laramie’s Parks and Streets Division and the University of Wyoming.

“This new addition provides an essential upgrade to Cowboy Field, ensuring that players and spectators alike benefit from modern, high-quality facilities that meet today’s baseball standards,” the release states.

According to the release, the installation was made possible due to the work of several different individuals and departments, including:

  • City of Laramie Staff:
    • Mike Malloy (Bucket truck)
    • Steve Graham (Brackets, ground)
    • Dusty Johnson (Ground and tools)
    • Dominic DiCillo (Ground, brackets, and tools)
    • Kyle Peep (Unboxing, tools, ground)
    • Streets Division: Jim Vanlandingham (Bucket Truck), Jody Sullivan (Ground and cleanup)
  • University of Wyoming Team:
    • Brad Gill
    • UW Electricians: Scott Wald and Levi Majewski
    • Equipment/Crane Operators: Dan Olson, Pat Gillen, and Brandon Busick

The city of Laramie Parks Division thanked UW staff for their expertise, equipment and manpower.

The successful installation of the scoreboard underscores the importance of strong community relationships and cooperative efforts in improving local recreational facilities, the release said.
