Significant funding approved for school infrastructure and learning programs in Cheyenne

CHEYENNE, Wyo. — The Laramie County School District Board of Trustees has unanimously approved a series of significant proposals, earmarking funds for school improvements and educational programs.

The board approved a fee proposal with AVI Professional Corporation for the design of the East High School Okie Field and Track Replacement. The agreement, not exceeding $75,000, includes a ten percent contingency for associated governmental fees and requirements.

In a move to bolster secondary reading interventions, the board approved the purchase of HMH Read 180 and Lexia PowerUp. This package, which includes materials, digital access, and necessary training, is capped at $110,000.

Additionally, the board approved a fee proposal with Plan One Architects for an additional $14,700 for improvements at Henderson Elementary’s Point of Entry.

Lastly, an authorization with Monument Construction, LLC, was also accepted. This project, not exceeding $158,822, will cover the office and restroom remodel at the agricultural farm complex, inclusive of a ten percent contingency for related fees.
