CHEYENNE, Wyo. — Laramie County School District 1 is celebrating Giovanna Spezzano, a junior at Triumph High, as the Student of the Week for Jan. 15.
Spezzano was chosen for her outstanding dedication to her studies, exemplified by her excellent attendance and innovative approach to school projects. Her ability to see projects through from conception to completion impressed the selection committee, according to a release by LCSD1.
Staff at Triumph High describe Spezzano as creative, reliable and thoughtful. Her contributions extend beyond academics, as she also participates in the student council and art club.
Outside school, Spezzano’s talents shine in lacrosse and mountain biking, where she competes in travel and local teams. Her artistic flair was notably displayed in the collaborative high school street mural and a project showcased at the Wyoming State Museum.
Known for her patience and kindness, Spezzano is celebrated for her positive influence on both teachers and classmates. Her ability to see the best in others makes her a cherished member of the Triumph High community.
Spezzano credits mathematics teacher Marissa Smith as her favorite educator. She values Smith’s helpfulness and unwavering support, especially during challenging times.
