(UPDATE) LCSD1 school board revises candidate interview schedule

CHEYENNE, Wyo. — On Oct. 28, the Laramie County School District 1 Board of Trustees will be interviewing three candidates for its vacant South Triad position.

Trustees received 10 applications for the position vacated by Trustee Susan Edgerton. Biographies and expressions of interest for all candidates can be found in the document below.

After reviewing the candidates’ submissions, the board will be interviewing:

  • Marilyn Burden at 5:30 p.m.
  • Keavy Burkart at 6:15 p.m.
  • Nora Tamez at 7 p.m.

Interviews will be held in the Storey Gym Boardroom, 2811 House Ave., and will be open to the public. The meetings will also be broadcast on Zoom here.

The board may hold an executive session following the interviews to discuss the appointment and will vote on the replacement candidate at the Nov. 4 regular board meeting. Once voted on, Edgerton’s replacement will serve the remainder of her term through November 2026.
