CHEYENNE, Wyo. — Central High School has been selected as a bronze-level school on the 2024 Advanced Placement School Honor Roll. This recognition is earned by schools that are delivering strong results for the students while expanding access to AP programs.

To be recognized, schools must meet the following criteria for their students in the most recent graduating class:

  • 40% or more took at least one AP exam during high school.
  • 25% or more scored 3 or higher on at least one AP exam during high school.
  • 2% or more took five or more AP exams during high school. At least one of those exams was taken in ninth or 10th grade.

The AP School Honor Roll recognized schools across four levels of distinction: platinum, gold, silver and bronze.

A total of 5,061 schools — representing 32% of eligible high schools — have earned a spot on the 2024 AP School Honor Roll, reflecting their commitment to fostering academic excellence and broadening access to AP opportunities.

According to the AP website, students who take AP courses and exams are more likely to attend college and graduate on time. Students who enter four-year colleges with credit from AP accelerate their path to graduation and build confidence for college success.
