CHEYENNE, Wyo. — Interstate 80 between Cheyenne and Laramie is closed due to crashes and winter conditions, the Wyoming Department of Transportation reported at 8:20 a.m.
Conditions include 50-plus mph winds that have created “significant blowing and drifting snow, and poor visibility,” the department reported.
Whiteout/ground blizzard conditions are expected early today through Wednesday evening.
An estimated time of reopening was not available as of 8:45 a.m.
Interstate 25
Interstate 25 between Cheyenne and Wheatland is also closed in both directions due to winter conditions. As of 8:30 a.m., WYDOT was estimating a reopening time of 18 to 20 hours.
