Patti grew up in various Wyoming towns including Wheatland and Torrington. She moved to Texas, where she received her bachelor’s degree in Dietary Science at Texas Woman’s University. She later returned to Torrington, Wyoming where she worked for the Wyoming Department of Transportation. It was in Torrington where she met the love of her life, Steve. She moved to Casper, Wyoming where they married in October of 1976. Patti worked for H&R Block for 37 years, and as a co-worker put it, “Was never too busy to help”. She greeted everyone at work with a warm smile and a kind, understanding heart.

Throughout her life, she was involved in various activities and groups such as The United Methodist Women’s P.E.O, and was a proud Girl Scout Troop Leader. Patti’s smile and laughter were contagious, and she rarely let an obstacle get in the way of what she wanted to do in life. Whether that was tending to her flowers, taking her fur babies and fur grandbabies for a car ride, attending weekly lunches with her friends, or being there for family and attending family events. She loved to travel, and loved spending holidays and vacations with family, in-laws, nieces, nephews, and their children. Together, Patti and Steve took on projects, both big and small, and she was always willing to hand him any tool he needed to get the job done. With daughters who were always on the move, she and Steve attended endless tournaments, practices and competitions, always front row to watch with proud smiles.
