Gerald D. Moberly

Gerald “Jerry” David Moberly, loving father and grandfather, passed away on April 28, 2020, at the age of 61.

Jerry was born on February 5, 1959 in Greybull, Wyoming to Harry and Donna (Bruce) Moberly. He graduated from Worland High School in 1978. On October 6, 1979 he married Martha Wolfrum. Together they had three daughters and a son.

Jerry was a hard worker who began his career with Moberly Asphalt, later working for Washakie Oil Company before opening Frontier Photo Express during the 80s. He then worked at Crown Cork & Seal before transitioning to a role as property manager at WERCS in Cheyenne.

Jerry’s true passion was the work he did for Cheyenne Frontier Days (CFD), devoting many years to the event first as a volunteer, then a member of the HEELS committee and most recently was named Grounds Chairman for CFD.

Jerry was a gentle soul who always had a smile on his face and was the first to lend a hand. He will be greatly missed!

Jerry was preceded in death by his son Asa, and his father, Harry. He is survived by his mother Donna, daughters Paige (Tsivell), Tara, and Bailey, his siblings Jim, Bob, Sheri, and Rose, his former wife Martha, and his grandchildren and numerous nieces, nephews and extended family, along with his dear friends in the Cheyenne Frontier Days community.

No service is scheduled at this time. Memorial donations in memory of Jerry may be made to the Cheyenne Frontier Days Memorial Foundation, P.O. Box 2097 Cheyenne, WY 82003.


Timothy Joseph Cook

Timothy Joseph Cook, 69, of Denver passed away April 28, 2020 in Denver.

He was born August 9, 1951 in Cheyenne to Alex and Charlotte Cook.  He was a member of St. Joseph’s Catholic Church.

He is survived by his brother, Thomas (Mollie) Cook, Sr. of Cheyenne; daughter, Jennifer (Brad) Rezac of Cheyenne and numerous grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents and a sister, Betty Jean Martinez.

Cremation has taken place and private services will be held in Olivet Cemetery.

Services are under the care of Schrader, Aragon and Jacoby Funeral Home.


Michael Martinez, Sr.

Michael Martinez, Sr., 61, of Cheyenne, passed away on Monday, April 27, 2020 in Cheyenne.

He was born on January 31, 1959 in Cheyenne.,

Michael was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, son, brother, and proud United States Marine.

He was an expert fisherman, best advice giver, knower of all things, and a very talented man who coached many wrestlers throughout the years.

Many describe him as a funny, outgoing, loving, and generous man and the person you can always go to for guidance and talk to about anything.

He is survived by his wife, Cindy Martinez; his sons, Akoni Martinez (wife Heather) and George Martinez (wife Emily); his daughter, Adel Gallardo (husband Marlon); his father, Frank Martinez; his mother, Mary Martinez; his brother, Leroy Martinez; his sister, Gina Flinn; grandchildren Amya, Kawika, Kekoa, Kapena, Skylar, Cullen, Alicia, Olivia, George Jr., Braden, Sofia, Amelia, and Phoenix; his godchildren, Shanell Arias and Selina Garcia; numerous nieces and nephews, and his beloved dogs, Gizmo, Lucy, and Ricky.

Services will be announced when COVID-19 restrictions have eased.


Betty Jean Manley

Betty Jean Manley, 75, of Cheyenne, died on April 28, 2020, in Cheyenne.
She was born on June 22, 1944, in Miller, South Dakota to Pete Beranek and Jessie Lovitt.

Betty lived a full and venturous life, and she reminded her son Brian to the likeness of Calamity Jane. She also loved to go to the casino.

She is survived by her wonderful, loving husband, Jack Manley, whom she married on August 28, 2006; her children, Brian Ayers (Heather), Bonnie Valentine (Kurt), Bruce Ayers, and Jennifer Davis (Marshal); siblings, David and George Beranek, and Jessie Ayers (Ed); and numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.
