Christopher Garcia

Christopher George Garcia, 39, of Cheyenne, died on Saturday, May 16, 2020 in Cheyenne.

He was born on October 17, 1980 in Cheyenne.

Chris was a metal stud framer at CCO Interiors. He enjoyed all sports, umpiring, karaoke, the Denver Broncos, and spending all of his other free time with family and friends.

He is survived by his children, Alexis Garcia and Nicholas Smith; his parents, Martha Rizzuto and George Garcia; siblings, Marshell Rizzuto, Epi Hernandez, Victoria Garcia, George Garcia Jr., Sheree Lopez, and Isaac Garcia.

Chris was preceded in death by his grandparents Leonard and Leah Rizzuto, grandfather Frank Garcia, and brother Lewis Garcia.

Glenn Raymond Walters

Glenn Raymond Walters, 62, of Cheyenne, Wyoming passed away May 18, 2020 from lung cancer. Glenn was born at F.E. Warren AFB in Cheyenne on January 11, 1958 to Thomas and Sata Kikuchi Walters.

From early on, Glenn’s life was full of challenges. He faced them and persevered with the help of family, friends and many others who supported him through everything.

Glenn attended Pioneer Park Elementary School, McCormick Junior High School and graduated from Central High School in 1976. Glenn trained as an auto mechanic at WyoTech in Laramie, Wyoming.

Glenn met the love of his life, Wilma, while the two worked for Goodwill Industries. They married April 15, 1978. Glenn passed on the day of Wilma’s birthday.

Glenn is survived by his children, Elizabeth (J.R.) Lang and Joshua Walters, both of Cheyenne; his grandson, Liam Lang; and his brothers, Robert and Lawrence (Patricia) Walters, both of Cheyenne.

Glenn was preceded in death by his wife, Wilma; his parents; and his brother, Victor Allen Walters.

The family will have a celebration of life at a later date.

Leon Latham

Leon Latham, 92, of Cheyenne, Wyoming, passed away on Sunday, May 17, 2020 in Cheyenne. He was born on February 29, 1928 in Texarkana, Texas. Private family services are being held. A memorial service will take place at a later time and date.


Shannon Mayfield

Shannon A. Mayfield, 77, of Cheyenne, died on May 18, 2020 in Cheyenne.
She was born on October 19, 1942 in Burlington, Wisconsin.

Mrs. Mayfield worked for the State of Wyoming in the Fiscal and Human Resources Section including the departments of Secretary of State, Education, Fire Prevention & Electrical Safety and Game and Fish. Her passions, aside from her husband and family, were quilting beautiful creations for many people, camping, hunting, fishing or anything involving the outdoors. Researching her genealogy gave her great joy and connected her heart with her Irish heritage. She is also a beloved and devout member of Creative Ministries Church.

She is survived by her husband, John R. Mayfield; children, Dean A. Miller (Suzanne), Amy J. Miller, Scott P. Miller (Kimberly), John M. (MAC) Mayfield (Adrienne), and Nathan R. Mayfield; two sisters, Maureen M. Dunn and Cathleen A. Barnes (Keith); Sister-in-law Donna L. Dunn; eight grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.

Shannon was preceded in death by her parents, Patrick H. Dunn, Sr. and Marjorie I. Dunn; and three brothers, Patrick H., Jr., Michael J, and James R. Dunn.

Visitation will be Friday, 9:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m., at Wiederspahn-Radomsky Chapel with a service to follow on Friday at 10:00 a.m.

Betty Stewart

Betty Y. Stewart, 83, of Cheyenne, Wyoming passed away Monday, May 18, 2020 at the Davis Hospice Center.

Betty was born October 29, 1936 in Snyder, Oklahoma, a daughter of the late Lloyd O. and Audie O. (Burrows) Richmond, Sr.

Betty was raised with her six brothers and one sister on a small farm south of Holly Frontier Refinery, on what is now part of Interstate 80. As a mother of three boys and two girls, she loved to care for her children and loved spending time with family and friends. She worked for KB Toys at the Frontier Mall and she frequently wore the color purple and was affectionately known as the “Purple Lady”.

Betty is survived by her husband, Earle Stewart; three children, Linda Parker, Christy Williams and Roy Stewart, Jr.; Earle’s two sons, James (Sarah) Stewart and Joseph (Jeanice) Stewart; two brothers, Donald (Janice) Richmond and Charles Richmond; former husband, Roy Stewart, Sr.; and numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and three great-great grandsons.

She is preceded in death by her parents; two sons, Michael Stewart and Timothy Stewart; four brothers, Lloyd Jr., Harold, Kenneth and Billy Richmond; and sister, Flo Cassett.

A visitation will be held on Saturday, May 23, 2020 from 12:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. at the Schrader, Aragon and Jacoby Funeral Home. A memorial service will be held at a later date with service date and time to be announced.
