Wayne Allen Packard: July 7, 1956 – January 25, 2023
Wayne Allen Packard, 66, of Cheyenne passed away on January 25, 2023, in Cheyenne at Cheyenne Regional Medical Center.
He was born on July 7, 1956, in Grand Island, Nebraska. He grew up in Cheyenne, graduated from Cheyenne’s Central High School, attended Laramie County Community College and served in the U.S. Marine Corps.
Wayne married Geraldine on May 30, 2001 in Kimball, NE. He worked as the Operation and Maintenance Collection Supervisor with the Cheyenne Board of Public Utilities, retiring after 40 years and was a member of Holy Trinity Catholic Church. He also worked part-time at the Laramie County Shooting Sports Complex. He enjoyed spending time with his family, traveling, hiking, and off-roading with his late wife Geraldine. He also enjoyed volunteering at Holy Trinity, gardening, landscaping, shooting, riding his motorcycle, woodworking and spending time with his friends over coffee. He had recently joined a disabled veterans biker group.
He is survived by his sister Cheryl (Larry) McGee of Cheyenne; stepchildren, Michael (Sonia) DeCarlo, Cathy Woods, Denise (David) Hondel, and Dr. Kaleb (Katie) Kenneaster, D.O. all of Cheyenne; grandchildren, Seth DeCarlo, Ashley (Tyler) Weber, Jake Woods, Emily (James) Kays, Brittney Hondel, Natalie Hondel and David Hondel, Jr.; great-grandchildren, Mason Weber, Harrison Weber and Emerson Weber.
He is preceded in death by his parents Merle and Mildred Packard, and his wife Geraldine Packard.
Donovan Notz: July 8, 1928 – January 27, 2023
Donovan Alden Notz of Cheyenne, Wyoming passed away January 27, 2023, at the age of 94. Donovan was born July 8, 1928, in Denver, Colorado.
Donovan married Jane Shipp on June 6, 1948, in Englewood, Colorado.
Their children are Claudine (Russ) Matzke of Walsh, CO, Torrey (JoAnn) Notz of El Dorado, AR, and Mark (Denise) Notz of Cheyenne, WY.
Donovan was preceded in death by his parents, his wife Jane, and his grandson Jared Notz.
Donovan has 9 grandchildren, 19 great-grandchildren, and 4 great-great-grandchildren.
Donovan was a graduate of Moody Bible Institute of Chicago, Illinois and was a Pastor for 31 years in the panhandle of Nebraska.
A Memorial Service will be held at a later date.
