Coralie Marie Shofstall Ring

Coralie Marie Shofstall Ring: 1954 – 2024

Coralie (‘Corky’) Marie Shofstall Ring, 69, of Cheyenne, passed at home suddenly, of natural causes.

She was born on July 15, 1954, in Riverton, Wyoming to Verlin and Elnah Shofstall.

Corky worked as Chief Clerk of Court for the Circuit Court in Riverton for over 30 years before retiring from the Wyoming Supreme Court, where she worked for several years in a similar capacity.

She was an avid lover of animals and a dedicated animal rescuer, which kept her active as a regular to at the local dog parks and trails. She was a devoted friend to anyone that knew her. When her green thumb was not in soil, she spent her idle time keeping her mind active with news, cross-stitch, word games, and reading. Above all else, Corky was a central figure in the lives of her family members. Her greatest pride came from her role as a grandparent.

Corky is survived by her daughter, Teresa Matzke and husband, Jim (Green Bay, Wisconsin); son, Joshua Ring and wife Emilie (Fort Collins, Colorado); grandsons, Cohen and Bryson Ring (Fort Collins, Colorado); siblings: Peggy Darhower (Riverton, Wyoming), Ed Shofstall and wife Gloria (Arlington, Washington), Gay Redden and husband Mark (Rock Springs, Wyoming); uncle, Harold Rockney and wife Charlotte (Riverton, Wyoming); former spouse, James Ring (Riverton, Wyoming); and numerous cousins, nieces and nephews.

Corky was preceded in death by grandparents; parents; and brother, Jim Shofstall.

Services will be held at Wiederspahn Radomsky Chapel (Cheyenne) on Friday, Feb. 23 at 10:00 a.m. A second service will be held at Davis Funeral Home (Riverton) on Saturday, Feb. 24 at 2:00 p.m.

As a supporter of education, outreach, and kid’s camps at local animal shelters donations can be made in Corky’s name to Cheyenne Animal Shelter or any other charity of your choice.
