David William Anderson

David William Anderson: 1928 – 2024

David William Anderson, 95, of Cheyenne, died on April 24, 2024, in Cheyenne.

He was born on May 27, 1928, in Broadwater, Nebraska.

Mr. Anderson was retired from the Wyoming Air National Guard. He was instrumental in getting the city softball program going and the building of Brimmer Softball Park. He loved playing both fast pitch and slow pitch softball. He was a very social person and had many special friends in his life. We always said he never knew a stranger. He gave all the credit for his life to his lord and savior, Christ Jesus.

He is survived by his daughter, Debbie Goble (Ed); granddaughter, Kimberly Manalo (Jet); grandson, Eddie Goble (Nicole); five grandchildren: James Velasquez (Zoe), Jeremy Velasquez, Jonas Manalo, Acelynn Goble, and Hoyt Goble; and one great-great-grandson due in September.

Mr. Anderson was preceded in death by his wife, Ella Anderson; daughter, Susan Preys; and his parents, Albert and Florence Anderson.

Visitation will be Thursday, 1:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m., at Wiederspahn-Radomsky Chapel. Private family graveside services will be held.

Doris Boone

Doris Boone: 1929 – 2024

Doris Jean Boone passed away on April 24, 2024, in Cheyenne, Wyoming. Born to Vestal and Rassie Watson on November 4, 1929, in Winston-Salem, North Carolina, she was an avid golfer, bridge player and quilter. Doris had lived in Summerfield, Florida for 15 years prior to moving to Cheyenne in 2016, to be closer to her family.

Predeceased by her husband, Monte Boone Jr. and infant son, Jeffery, Doris‘s memory will be cherished by her sister Frances; her children, Monte III, (Mary Alice) and Jean (Bob); her grandchildren, Kelsey (CJ) and Bryant; and her great-grandchildren, Treyson, Kyren and Kinleigh.

In honor of her request, there will be no services. She will rest eternally in Mt. Airy, North Carolina, with her husband of 66 years.


Andrew Dale Carlstead

Andrew Dale Carlstead: 1981 – 2024

Andrew Dale Carlstead, 42, of Cheyenne died on April 18, 2024 in Cheyenne.

He was born on May 31, 1981 in Cheyenne.

Andrew was a cook in the Army National Guard in 2001, worked at multiple places as a cook, and most recently, a cook at Life Care Centers of Cheyenne. He worked with Margaret’s home daycare until it closed. He enjoyed all types of hunting, anything history related, hiking, traveling, and spending time with his daughter, Kysaundrya.

He is survived by his daughter, Kysaundrya Carlstead; his estranged wife, Brittney Carlstead; his brother, Zac Carlstead and sister-in-law, Morgan Carlstead; and his aunts and uncles from his mom’s side.
He was preceded in death by his father, Gerry Carlstead; his mother, Margaret Carlstead; his brother, Douglas Carlstead; and his son, Gaibryle Carlstead.


Monna DePorter

Monna DePorter: 1936 – 2024

Monna DePorter, 87, of Cheyenne, died on April 23, 2024 in Cheyenne.

She was born on July 8, 1936 in Greeley, Colorado.

Monna was involved in 4-H when her children were younger. She was famous for her cream can dinners to feed everyone at dog trials, west of town. Monna loved elk hunting, but most importantly loved the bible and the lord.

She is survived by her children: Rusty DePorter, Terry Ann DePas, Karen Hamilton, and Marci Warpness; her sister, Era Barnes; and six grandchildren.

Monna was preceded in death by her siblings: Bruce Sidwell, Leland Sidwell, Caroline Sidwell, and Shirley Bradshaw.

Graveside services will be Monday, 11:00 a.m., at Cheyenne Memorial Gardens.

A reception will immediately follow at the Terry Bison Ranch.
