Valorie Kay Mayo

Valorie Kay Mayo: 1959 – 2024

Valorie Kay Mayo passed away on May 30, 2024 in Odessa Texas. Val was 64.
She was born July 25, 1959 to Robert and Laurie Mayo in Casper, Wyoming.

She attended elementary school in Shirley Basin and Gas Hills. Her family then moved to Riverton in 1970.  She graduated from Riverton High School with the class of 1977.
She received a degree in graphic design from CWC in 1981. Valorie was a wonderful artist; however, she didn’t follow that path. She received her real estate license and in the year 2000, began her own real estate company, Prestige Real Estate in Casper, Wyoming.
In 1983 she married John Hurtt. Together they had 2 children, Matt and Ember.

In 1998, she married Jeff Grutkowski. They later divorced.

During her path in life, Valorie had many adventures. She enjoyed life and loved her family immensely. Her greatest joy was her only grandchild, Poppy, born in 2023.

Valorie was loved dearly by the many people in her life. She had friends and family across the country. She had a strong Christian faith, who believed in the goodness of others. She had an awesome sense of humor and a very contagious laugh.

Valorie is survived by her children: Matthew Hurtt and his wife, Brandy Hurtt; Ember Hurtt and her husband, Chris Kimball and their daughter, Poppy Hurtt; her sister, Laurie Bonifield; and her brother, Rob Mayo; also, numerous nieces and nephews.

Her celebration of life will be held September 7, at Sunset Memorial Park, Riverton Wyoming at 2 p.m.


Ayden Ryan Reed Maitner: 2004 – 2024

Ayden Ryan Reed Maitner, beloved son of April and Jason, sadly passed away on August 28, 2024, at the young age of 20 years old.

Ayden was born in Cheyenne, Wyoming, and moved to Florida at six months old. He was raised in Florida, where he attended school. Ayden loved God and actively participated in his church youth group. After completing high school, Ayden moved to Mississippi for College and returned to Cheyenne the following year.

Ayden loved diving and excelled at it throughout high school and college. His love for motorcycles was passed down from his grandfather, dad, and uncle. Ayden brought a smile to everyone around him by being his funny, silly, wild, outgoing self. He had a heart of gold and believed strongly in equality and loving others. He was truly one of a kind and is going to be deeply missed. 

Ayden is survived by his mother and father, April and Jason Maitner; godmother, Tanya Mosher; paternal grandfather, (Edward Maitner); paternal grandmother, Jane Maitner; paternal uncle, Patrick Maitner; paternal cousins, Kevin, Patrick Jr. and Nathan Maitner; maternal grandmother, Carmen Milbury; maternal aunt and uncle, Christina and Robert Frederick; maternal cousin, Hope Frederick; and many other aunts, uncles, and cousins who loved him deeply. 

Preceded in death by his maternal grandfather, James Reed. 

There will be a Celebration of Life on Friday, September 6 at 3 p.m. at Schrader, Aragon & Jacoby, 2222 Russell Ave, Cheyenne, Wyoming 82001.

Victor Kelley Richmond: 1967 – 2024

Victor was born in Seattle, Washington on November 22, 1967 and passed in Cheyenne, Wyoming on August 27, 2024.

He is survived by Roberta Johnson, mother; and Bridget Crimin, sister, of Cheyenne, Wyoming;  Tim, brother; Marie, sister, of Alaska; and Frances, sister, of Seattle.

Beloved son and brother and will be deeply missed.


Shaila Marlene Sigward: 1999 – 2024

Shaila Marlene Sigward, 24, passed away July 20, 2024 surrounded by her loving family and friends.

Shaila was born on November 18, 1999. Shaila loved being a mom to her two girls, cooking their favorite foods and playing with them. She enjoyed spending time with family and friends. She liked all types of music, photography, and the outdoors. She was always up for a challenge; Shaila worked with dementia patients with love and care. She appreciated the time everyone took to engage and encourage her.

Shaila is survived by her daughters, parents, grandparents, brothers, aunts, uncles, and cousins.

Genevieve and her family invite you on Saturday, September 7, 2024, to a Memorial Service at 4 p.m.,  followed by a Celebration of Life and dinner at 5:00 p.m. allowing friends and family to share their memories of Shaila. Meadowbrook Church 3161 Omaha Rd, Cheyenne, WY 82001
