Dr. Kimberly Broomfield: 1965 – 2024
On September 2, Kimberly Broomfield, a mom, a physician, and a beautiful person- passed away at the age of 59. Kimberly was born in Denver, Colorado, and was raised all over- but mainly in Nebraska.
She went on to gain her doctorate and became a very notable physician and teacher to resident students.
She was known to be a funny and bright women. Kimberly’s parents were her stepdad, Bob Kettler; dad, Ernest Halle; and mother, Trudy Young.
She is survived by her brother, Walter Halle; and three children: Josh, Nathan, and Jenna Broomfield.
Kimberly had many passions, including the Dallas Cowboys, the outdoors, and being a loyal christian.
Her service will be on Friday, September 13, which will be held in Cheyenne, Wyoming, at the Wiederspahn-Radomsky Chapel Of The Chimes, 1900 E 19th St. There will be a reception that follows at The Gathering Place- adjacent to the funeral home.
Matthew O. Morris: 1983 – 2024
Matthew O. Morris, 41, of Cheyenne, passed on August 31, 2024, in Engelwood, Colorado.
He was born on January 14, 1983, in Cheyenne, Wyoming to Earnest and Lorraine (Jackson) Morris. Matt was a devoted father, son, brother, cousin, and uncle. He enjoyed working out and his career as a personal trainer fueled his passion to help others. He loved attending his daughter’s track & fields meets, being around family and would talk to anyone who would listen. When Matt was in the room, there was no such thing as a stranger.
He is survived by his mother, Lorraine Morris; siblings, Marcus Morris and Myra Llamas; children: Marquis Morris, Faith Burdett, Nadia Burdett, Taliah Morris, Genesis Morris, Myla Morris; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Matt was preceded in death by his father, Earnest Morris Jr.; and grandfather, David Jackson Senior.
“I’ve learned that people will forget what you said, people will forget what you did, but people will never forget how you made them feel” — the infamous quote by, Maya Angelou.
Matt embodied this. There was never a person that’s met Matt, who hasn’t experienced the pure joy of his smile, the comfort, of his laugh, and the reminder of how he always made us feel. He will be missed so deeply and we all will just have to find a new way to feel him.
