Gary Wayne Potter: 1954 – 2024
Gary Wayne Potter, born June 2, 1954, in Casper, Wyoming, to Thelma and Charles Ralph Potter, passed away on September 8, 2024. Gary attended Grant Elementary, Dean Morgan Junior High School, and graduated from Kelly Walsh High School in 1973.
Gary began his career as a surveyor and found his true passion in construction. Initially working for his brother at Ray Potter Construction, he spent most of his career as a Superintendent at Caspar Building Systems before following his entrepreneurial spirit to establish Gary Potter Construction. His family will remember him whenever they drive past the Nicolaysen, the Senior Center, Casper Classical Academy, Independence Rock rest area, T-Bird gym, Casper Orthopedic, Gillette Wyoming Machinery, and Hat Six Travel Center. In 2011, Gary and his wife Peggy purchased a second home in Sun City, Arizona. Due to the physical demands of his work, Gary retired in 2016.
A natural athlete, in high school at the Casper annual sports award banquet, he was selected Student Athlete of the Year for the city. He made friends across town through his participation in basketball, football, softball, bowling, track and field, and rugby, with golf becoming his favorite sport. Some golf highlights include his hole-in-one during the Member-Member and winning the Valley Classic at Paradise Valley Country Club for the second time this past July with his buddy Billy Marvel. Known for his big stature and heart of gold, Gary was a devoted husband and father.
Gary married Peggy Fustish on January 8, 1977, and together they had three daughters: Misty, Ashley, and Cassidy. He cherished his role as a grandfather to Annabelle, Alaina, Quinn, Derek, Rourke, Callie, and Connor, never missing an opportunity to support them in swimming, sports, or their latest projects. He would even drive across the country just to be a stand-in babysitter.
Gary was known for his willingness to help others and was described as strong and steady. While the aches and pains are gone, his sly smile will surely live on.
He is survived by his wife, Peggy Potter; daughters: Misty (Seth) Conine, Ashley (Matt) Bowman, and Cassidy (Alex) Stevanov; and grandchildren: Annabelle, Alaina, Quinn, Derek, Rourke, Callie, and Connor. He is also survived by his siblings: Jim Potter, Charles (Judy) Potter, Dave (Dixie) Potter, Beulah Tackett, Ray (Judie) Potter, and Alan (Mona) Potter; along with numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews.
Gary was preceded in death by his infant daughter, Courtney Potter and his parents, Ralph and Thelma Potter.
The family is planning an October tribute in Arizona, and a memorial service will be held in Casper, Wyoming, in the summer of 2025.
Laura Lynn Bonitatibus: 1960 – 2024
Laura Lynn (Brown) Bonitatibus, 63, of Cheyenne, Wyoming, passed away on September 9, 2024, after health complications. Born on October 23, 1960, in Derby, Colorado, Laura moved to Cheyenne at a young age, where she grew up alongside her best friend, Mary Jones.
Laura was a devoted mother to her beautiful daughter, Brean. In her early years, she married her first husband, Gary Scott, and together they enjoyed many adventures, frequently moving as they built their life. Laura often cleaned homes and businesses to support her family during this time.
After her first marriage ended, Laura found love again and married Gary Bonitatibus. Her dedication and hard work paid off when she became the proud owner of her own janitorial business. Laura and Gary spent many joyful years racing every Saturday night, a passion they both cherished.
In her later years, Laura and Gary found deep faith, igniting their hearts with the fire of the holy spirit, and they discovered solace and joy in God’s love and eternal grace.
Above all, Laura treasured the time spent with her family, especially her three grandchildren: Anthony, Quintin, and Jaslynn, and her four great-grandchildren: Jaxson, Ella, Chloe, and Ethan. She is also survived by her three beloved sisters: Karen Reece, Aleta Little, and Linda Stundon.
Laura is preceded in death by her father, Max Brown; her mother, Ellen Horton; and her brother, Max “Buddy” Brown.
She lived a life full of love, adventure, and faith, leaving behind a legacy of hard work, resilience, and devotion to her family and her faith. Laura will be deeply missed by her family, friends, and all who knew her.
All are welcome to attend the burial service at Lakeview Cemetery on Friday, September 13, at 1:30 p.m. A memorial service will follow at 2 p.m. at Orchard Valley Community Center, 2111 South 1st Street in Cheyenne. Because this is a celebration of Laura’s life, we ask that attendees wear bright, celebratory colors. Laura’s favorite colors were royal blue and purple.
Pat LeRoy Goldsworth: 1954 – 2024
Pat LeRoy Goldsworth, 69, passed away in Cheyenne, Wyoming on September 9, 2024, with his loving wife at his bedside.
Pat was born in Boone, Iowa on September 30, 1954. He grew up in Boone and graduated from Boone High School in 1972. Pat had a strong work ethic and spent much of his career employed by Eastman-Kodak in Windsor, Colorado. Prior to Kodak, he was employed with Safeway and worked in stores in Iowa and Arizona. Shortly after moving from Colorado to Cheyenne, Wyoming Pat was employed by Walmart until he retired in January of 2021.
In April of 1997, Pat met his wife Sara Louise in Denver, Colorado and they were married on May 5, 1998, in Las Vegas, Nevada. They lived in Colorado until moving to Cheyenne in the latter part of 2006.
Pat is survived by his wife, Sara Louise; sisters-in-law, Pamela Goldsworth and Crystal (John) Falls; mother-in-law, Sara Hutchens; and special cousin, Lynda White. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews, as well as four children and a grandson from a previous marriage.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Charles and Dorothy Goldsworth of Boone, Iowa; and brother, Mike Goldsworth of Boone, Iowa.
Pat loved nature and animals, and over the years he would cash in his spare change jar to donate to the animal shelter in Cheyenne. He also loved sharing new experiences and traveling with his wife Sara Louise.
No services are planned currently, and cremation has taken place.
Eileen Rosemary Robb: 1935 – 2024
Eileen Rosemary Robb, 89, of Cheyenne, passed away on September 4, at home by her loving family. She was born on May 31, 1935, in Ft. Morgan, Colorado to Carl and Elizabeth (Ring) Meyers.
Eileen graduated high school in 1954 from Laporte High School. After graduating, she worked for the Department of Navy in Washington D.C. as a clerk. She then married Robert G Robb in May of 1961 in Laporte Colorado, they moved to Cheyenne the same year.
She was a loving homemaker who enjoyed reading books, making dolls, sewing and crocheting.
She is survived by son, Robert Lee (Nancy) Robb; and many other family members.
Eileen was preceded in death by her parents, Carl and Elizabeth Meyers; husband, Robert G. Robb; two brothers, Gerald Meyers of Colorado and Bill Meyers of Cheyenne.
Ruth Elaine Stowe: 1947 – 2024
Ruth Elaine Nelson was born July 1, 1947, in Clearfield, Iowa to her parents, Horace Nelson and Helen Johnston Nelson.
Ruth passed away on September 10, 2024, due to effects of vascular dementia.
Ruth is survived by her husband of 56 years, Robert (Bob) Stowe; daughters: Megan Stowe (Stephen Schad; sons: Galen and Desmond Schad), Michelle Stowe McCormack (Randy McCormack and son, Miles McCormack); brothers: Eugene Nelson, Leroy Nelson (Mary), and Randall Nelson, her sister and brothers-in-law, Elizabeth Stowe Weitzel (Raymond) and Andrew Stowe (Janet); nephews, nieces, and cousins.
Ruth was preceded in death by her parents, Horace and Helen Nelson; stillborn brother, Ronald; sister-in-law, Sherri Klejch Nelson; nephew, Michael Stowe; as well as aunts, uncles, and grandparents.
Ruth survived several different diseases; Ruth’s life was not defined by illnesses, but by her faith’s directive to do as much good as she could, for as many as she could, for as long as she could. Ruth had compassion for the lost, the least, and those left behind. She chaired missions committees for the First United Methodist Church of Gillette’s for 20 years and the Wyoming District of the United Methodist Church of the Rocky Mountain Conference for 5 years. Ruth and Bob went on Mission Trips throughout the United States as well as three mission trips to Costa Rica.
Ruth grew up on the family farm, south of Clearfield, Iowa. Ruth was active in the local county 4-H unit and was the first chair playing flute in the high school band. Ruth attended the University of Iowa. In her first semester, she was in two classes with her eventual husband, Bob. Ruth and Bob were married in August before their senior year of college. Ruth graduated with her Bachelor of Arts in Home Economics in 1969.
Ruth worked for 28 years at the Campbell County Public Library, predominantly processing discards and entering new books into the State of Wyoming’s Library System. She loved reading all the new books’ flaps, writing recommendations in the local Sunday newspaper.
Ruth and Bob enjoyed traveling, visiting 47 states, and traveling to Europe, the Holy Lands, Kenya and Peru. She loved cross-stitch, quilt wall hangings and table runners, copper metal punching, plotting her dream home’s floor plans, play piano and flute, and spending time with her three grandsons. Her Texas sheet cake was a favorite at church potlucks. Ruth’s sense of humor flourished following her first stroke. She will be missed. Well done, good and faithful servant.
The family appreciates the care she received from Caring Edge Hospice and the staff at Edgewood Aspen Wind.
Calling hours will be Thursday, September 12, from 4 to 6 p.m. at First United Methodist Church, 108 East 18th St, Cheyenne. A Celebration of Life will take place at 11 a.m., Tuesday, September 17, 2024 in United Methodist Church, located in Gillette, Wyoming.

Pasquale Zumo: 1931 – 2024
Pasquale Zumo age 93 of Cheyenne, was called home to be with the lord on September 9 at the VA Hospital, surrounded by his loving family.
He was born on April 24, 1931 to Virginia Rose Dionese and Nunzio (John) Zumo in Cheyenne Wyoming.
Pasquale’s first job was at age 12, where he worked for an upholstery shop making $.50 an hour to keep the shop clean and remove the old furniture coverings. He liked that job because any money he found in the furniture he got to keep. He also worked in a candy shop with his Aunt Josie when he was in junior high. After high school, he briefly worked for the Union Pacific Railroad before he enlisted in the United States Navy during the Korean War. After his four years in the Navy, he decided to use the G.I. Bill to attend the University of Wyoming. During that time he met his one true love, Marlene Alden and later went to work for Land Air as a draftsman for four years. He then began his 33 year career at the Frontier Refinery.
Putting his love for woodworking and his draftsman skills to good use, he decided to design and build his own home, where he lived until he passed.
Pasquale was a board member at the Frontier Credit Union, treasurer of the Pipe Fitters Union and also a board member for the Laramie County Weed and Pest. Pasquale and Marlene really enjoyed square dancing and were members of the Wander Yonder’s camping club. He also greatly enjoyed the many camping and fishing trips that he took with his family. He was a life long member of St. Mary’s Church.
He is survived by the love of his life of 63 years, Marlene; son, Michael Zumo, his wife, Lori and their daughter, Sara Kepple and great-granddaughter Avery; daughter, Teresa her husband, Ranjit Nath; their son, Andrew, wife, Casey and great-grandson, Theo; their daughter, Jenny Manzanares, husband, Matt, their daughters, Divya, Avaya and great-great-granddaughter Izlah; daughter, Christine, her husband, Robert Candler; their sons, Ryan, Jason and wife, Ellie; their children, Thomas and Tessa; his beloved sister, Connie Waszack.
He is preceded in death by his parents and brother, Charles Zumo; and Jasper Zumo.
