Max Eugene Willard: 1928 – 2024
Max Eugene Willard passed away peacefully on September 21, 2024 while surrounded by loved ones at the age of 95.
He was born to Buron Holiday “Shorty” and Goldie Pauline “Missy” Marvel, on September 29, 1928 in Gillette, Wyoming. Upon completing high school in Gillette, Max went to work at Schlumberger and also helped with the various companies owned by the Willard family. The majority of his career was spent in the oilfield, with many of those years at ANR (also known as Coastal Oil and Gas), which he eventually retired from at the age of 71.
In his free time, Max loved boating and Alcova Lake. He was an early member of Alcova ski club and later a board member.
Upon retirement, Max spent his time taking various Wyoming history classes at Casper College through the OLLI program and frequenting FireRock Steakhouse. Max never met a stranger and always had a story to tell.
Max was preceded in death by his wife, Barbara; first wife, Bessie; parents, Shorty and Missy; sisters: Flossy (Lewis) Black, Cathy (John) Strong; brother, Edd B (Joyce); and nephew, Mark Willard Black.
He is survived by his son, Charles B. Willard; daughter, Cleo (Will) Breazeale; grandchildren: Buddy (Zoey), Lacy (Bill) Furtado, Justin Breazeale, January Vogel; five great-grandchildren; nine great-great-grandchildren; along with numerous cousins, nieces and nephews
Max was a hard worker and loved by many. He was very social and nobody could accuse him of being a wallflower.
Services will be held at Riverview Memorial Gardens in Worland, Wyoming on November 2, 2024 at 10 a.m. followed by a luncheon at the Worland Elks Lodge. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to Worland Senior Center.
Jose Alvarado: 1928 – 2024

Donald C. Fuller: 1950 – 2024
Donald C. Fuller, 73, of Cheyenne, died on October 27, 2024 in Cheyenne. He was born on November 21, 1950 in Lafayette, Indiana.
Don worked as Resident Engineer for the Wyoming Department of Transportation for over 30 years. He was an avid baseball fan and beloved youth baseball coach. He loved camping and traveling with his wife, Sandi. Don was a passionate reader and spent a lot of free time reading.
He is survived by his wife, Sandi Fuller; his sons, Danny Fuller (Cathlene) and Steven Fuller (Angi); his grandchildren: Brittney, Tiffany, Cassie, and Claire; and his siblings: Jeff Fuller, Doug Fuller, David Fuller, and Jayne Cornish.
Don was preceded in death by his father, Dan Fuller; his mother, Iris Fuller; and his son, Richard Fuller.
Services will be Monday, 2 p.m., at Wiederspahn-Radomsky Chapel with a reception to immediately follow at The Gathering Place.
Kathleen Marie Narum: 1964 – 2024
Kathy Narum, 60, passed peacefully at Davis Hospice in Cheyenne, Wyoming after a brief and unexpected battle with pancreatic cancer.
Kathy was born Kathleen Marie Johnson on June 22, 1964 in Bismarck, North Dakota to Archie and Alice (Carlson) Johnson. She grew up there, graduating from Century High School in 1982, and met her best friend and the love of her life, Scott Narum. Kathy and Scott were married March 16, 1985 and soon after moved to Cheyenne, Wyoming to follow Scott’s military career. Kathy and Scott proudly welcomed their one and only daughter, Nicole Lee Narum, on August 19, 1988.
Kathy raised Nikki as a stay at home mother until she was school-aged, then dabbled in various occupations, including as an associate for a local jeweler, and a position at the Cheyenne Tribune Eagle Newspaper. Ultimately, she settled into her career for several decades at Flyte Sanitation, beginning as an administrative assistant and working her way up to a pivotal management and consulting role within the company.
Kathy dedicated her life to her pursuit of learning, serenity, and above all, a good time. She was a self-proclaimed know-it-all who dutifully researched every one of her interests. Her mind was a repository of endless facts and her sense of humor was unmatched. She was an avid vacationer. One of her most cherished places in the world was the Cancun and Riviera Maya area of Mexico, where she traveled to dozens of times over the decades with her beloved husband, daughter, and other family members. Her hobbies were vast including gardening, woodworking, rock tumbling, sporty car collecting, and hover board and one wheeling. She was also a wonderful and dedicated dog mom. She was most content in the peace and comfort of her own home.
She was preceded in death by her parents, and her adoring husband, Scott. She will be dearly missed by her daughter, Nicole (Thomas) Helfrich; granddaughter, Lily Helfrich; her fiancé, Chris Kemnitz; brother, Dan (Sandy) Johnson; brother-in-law, Rick Narum; sister-in-law, Julie Narum; along with several nieces and nephews.

Kimberly Reinemer: 1959 – 2024
With profound sadness and grateful hearts for a life well-lived, we announce the passing of Kimberly Reinemer, 65, of Cheyenne Wyoming, on Saturday October 26, 2024. Throughout her life, Kim’s unwavering faith in God was her cornerstone and guided her mortal journey.
Kim was born on July 31, 1959 in Nampa, Idaho, a beloved daughter of Connie Elliott and sister to Kennette. She graduated from Nampa Senior High School in 1977 and went on to build a career as a Travel Agent after moving with her young family to Wyoming.
Kim leaves behind a loving family who will cherish her memory forever: her devoted husband and best friend of 40 years, Randy, who stood faithfully by her side through life’s greatest joys and challenges. Her beloved daughters were her pride and joy: Alison and Meghan, who both carry forward their mother’s loving spirit. Their special bond as a family will continue to be a testament to Kim’s legacy of love and devotion.
Kim was an avid Disney collector, finding joy in building her extensive collection of Mickey Mouse memorabilia and visiting the Disney parks as often as she could. Her love for Disney magic brought light and happiness, not only to her life but was infectious, making gift-giving occasions easy for loved ones who knew a Disney treasure would always bring a smile to her face.
She had a natural talent for making spaces beautiful and her green thumb was legendary. Those who knew Kim well knew to never call during Jeopardy! as she was an enthusiastic and sharp-minded fan of the show.
She cherished her trips to Oregon to visit dear friends, these visits remained a highlight of her life, filled with laughter, shared memories, and the kind of deep connection that turns friends into family.
A memorial service will be held in late April in Nampa, Idaho.
Karen Ann Vencill: 1947 – 2024
Karen Ann (Hoopman) Vencill, of Cheyene passed away October 29, 2024, at home in Cheyenne. She was born on September 12, 1947, in Cresco, Iowa, going to her hometown of Clermont, Iowa, where her father Gordon was the manager of the local lumber yard.
She attended school in Clermont, graduating from Valley High School. She was a cheerleader, in the band and choir, Homecoming Queen, and in the National Honor Society. She attended Rochester Community College and graduated from the University of Northern Iowa before being accepted at the Mayo Clinic of Physical Therapy in Rochester, Minnesota. She worked in Minneapolis prior to moving to Cheyenne to practice at the hospital and then opening a private practice prior to her retirement.
Karen met Paul at a National Physical Therapy Conference at Disneyland in Anaheim, California. Meeting through a friend they ended up on a double-blind date. During the short weekend she trustingly traveled with Paul to Tijuana, Mexico to see a Jal Alai game, enjoyed another dinner together, ending with Paul taking her to the airport early Sunday to return to Minnesota. Several months of phone calls led to Karen’s first trip to Wyoming to attend Cheyenne Frontier Days. After asking what to wear, Paul responded, “Just wear your jeans,” not knowing she had never owned a pair of jeans. She arrived in Cheyenne to find Paul as a totally decked out cowboy. Karen and Paul married on May 8,1976 in Clermont, Iowa. In marrying Paul, she also inherited two girls, Lisa and Gina, one dog and a cat.
Karen quickly got involved in the CFD festivities through the W-Heels Costume Contest, as a contestant winner and then helped run the contest. Her involvement grew into making beautiful costumes worn in the parades, becoming a member of the W-Heels and filling carriages for 37 years. Karen was a true rodeo fan, loved the chuckwagon races, the bulls, spending time with family, and teaching her grandchildren and great grandchildren all about the events. She was not only an amazing seamstress, she was a devout Christian, an avid gardener and reader, and loved to travel. She and Paul traveled across the United States over the years, made multiple trips to Europe and took a one day trip on the USS Cheyenne where they enjoyed a wonderful lobster dinner followed by a 500-foot dive in the Pacific Ocean. Karen’s life was filled with many more worldwide travels, and many cherished memories made with family and friends.
Karen is survived by her husband, Paul Vencill of Cheyenne; daughter, Lisa (Kevin) Gouran of Broomfield, Colorad, Gina (Bill) Scribner of Cheyenne, Wyoming; grandchildren: Breanna (Jason) Arnold, Sean (Madeline) Gouran, Elizabeth (Lucas) Cirbo and Sara (Joseph) Polling; and seven great-grandchildren.
She is preceded in death by parents, Gordon and Fran Hoopman; and brother, Dale (Terry) Hoopman.
In memory of Karen, contributions may be sent to St. Peter’s Anglican Church in Cheyenne, Cheyenne Frontier Days W-Heels, or a charity of your choice.
The funeral service will be held on Monday, November 4, 2024, at 10:30 a.m. at St. Peter’s Anglican Church 252 Dell Range Blvd. Cheyenne, WY 82009. Reception to follow, noon to 1:30 p.m.
