Dieter Coletti: 1948 – 2024
Dieter Coletti, beloved father, grandfather, great-grandfather, uncle, and friend, passed away peacefully on Monday, October 28, 2024, at Davis Hospice, with his daughter Tanya and granddaughter Savannah holding his hand, and grandsons Caleb and Caden by his side.
Born in Trier, West Germany, on June 10, 1948, Dieter was known for his warmth, strength, and deep compassion for others.
In 1962, Dieter moved to the United States and settled in Great Falls, Montana, embracing his new life with openness and resilience. He later returned to Germany to serve four years in the Army. After his service, he made his home in Cheyenne, Wyoming, where he met and married his soulmate, Teresa Ann Powers, in 1974. Together, they built a life filled with love, raising their two children, Tanya Marie Coletti and Demetrius Maynard Coletti. Dieter and Tanya shared an especially unique and close bond as not only father and daughter but also best friends.
For 42 years, Dieter owned and operated the Wyoming Motel and Luxury Diner, cherished community fixtures known for their warmth and welcoming spirit. Dieter’s generosity extended to all in need, and he was recognized with the Humane Award for four consecutive years and the “Do Gooder” award from Blue Federal, honoring his dedication to kindness and service. He supported numerous charities, especially those benefiting children and animals, and held a particular love for animal causes.
Dieter was preceded in death by his parents, Ed and Gertrude Coletti; his sister, Dorothy Lundgren; and his beloved wife, Teresa Coletti. He is survived by his children, Tanya Marie Coletti and Demetrius Maynard Coletti; his brother, Robert “Bobby” Coletti and wife Anne, along with their children: Christian, Caleb, Carrina, and Corban.
Dieter is also survived by his beloved grandchildren: Steven Isaac Hernandez, Jacob Anthony Hernandez, Caleb Anthony Coletti, Savannah Jade Coletti, Asia Alisa Apodaca, Caden Coletti, Arriana Campos, and Gloria Campos. He leaves behind his daughter-in-law, Shannon Rickart; daughter-in-law, Amanda Miller; son-in-law, Jason Hernandez; and son-in-law, Richard Martinez. Many dear friends, including Nick Nelson, Jesse Pierce-Frujilo, and Willie Hill, along with several others who fondly called him “Uncle D,” will remember him with love. Additionally, he leaves behind his loyal dogs, who brought him joy and companionship throughout his life.
Dieter’s legacy of love, generosity, and dedication to his community and beloved animals will be cherished by all who knew him. In lieu of flowers, the family asks for donations to The Cheyenne Animal Shelter. He will be profoundly missed and lovingly remembered by his family, friends, and the entire community.

Theresa C Murdoch: 1961 – 2024
Theresa Claire Murdoch, 63, of Carpenter, Wyoming, passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family on October 30, 2024. Born on May 31, 1961, in Cheyenne, Wyoming, Theresa was the beloved daughter of the late Joseph H. McNamara and E. Irene McNamara.
Raised in the Sun Valley area of Cheyenne, she graduated from East High School in 1979. Theresa married Kirby Murdoch on May 8, 2001. Together, they built their home and life in Carpenter where they continued to farm and care for the Murdoch family land.
A devoted wife, grandmother, and homemaker, Theresa’s passions extended beyond her family. She found joy in the simple pleasures of life, such as camping, fishing, gardening, sewing, and antiquing. She also loved to spoil and care for their dogs Sasha and Sadie.
Theresa was preceded in death by her grandparents; parents; aunts and uncles; her father-in-law; and her brother-in-law. She is survived by her loving husband of 23 years, Kirby J. Murdoch; her children: Candice L. Hough (Bud) of Cheyenne, and Martin J. Patch of Orange City, Florida; her brother, Sean P. McNamara (Diana); her sisters: M. Catherine Mellott, Genevieve A. Telander (Russel), Celestine “Sally” J. Rojas (Alfonso), L. Susan Palmer (Mack), Georgene C. McNamara-Roberts (Mark), and Jennifer I. Dillinger (Scott), all of Cheyenne. Her cherished grandsons, Evan K. Hough and Blake W. Hough and seventeen nieces and nephews also survive her.
A memorial service will be held on Friday, November 8, at 2 p.m. at Wiederspahn-Radomsky Chapel, followed by a reception at the American Legion, Post # 6.

Lawrence G. Pitmon: 1944 – 2024
Larry Pitmon, 79, died October 27, 2024, at Davis Hospice. He was born on October 28, 1944, in Doniphan, Missouri, to Sol and Clara Pitmon.
Larry worked for the State of Wyoming for 43 years. He is survived by his sister, Glenda Birdsall (Rick) of Greeley, Colorado; brother, Robert Pitmon (JoAnne) of Berthoud, Colorado; sister-in-law, Wanda Pitmon of Las Vegas, Nevada; his daughter, Sandra Pickens,(John Schlegelmilch) of Yeringtion, Nevada; four grandsons: Chris Pitmon and Jason Pitmon of Cheyenne, Wyoming, Harry “Tyler” Schlegelmilch of Reno, Nevada, and Austin Schlegelmilch, (Megan) of Boise, Idaho; four great-granddaughters of Cheyenne; one niece and several nephews.
Larry was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers, Don and Bill; and his son, Andy Pitmon. At Larry’s request, there will be no services.
