Michael T O'Grady

Michael T O’Grady: 1952 – 2024

With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Michael Timothy O’Grady, a beloved husband, father, grandfather, who passed away peacefully in the comfort of his home in Cheyenne, Wyoming on October 27, 2024 at the age of 72.

Michael had a long and successful career in the water resources consulting business. He enjoyed fishing and was an avid golfer. He was known for his sense of humor, quick wit, infectious laugh, and unwavering love for his children and grandchildren.

He is survived by his wife, Linda Frost O’Grady; children: Dr. Anna (John) Berry, Shane (Kelly) O’Grady; four grandchildren: Audrey Berry, Charlie Berry, Raigan O’Grady, Abigail; Bast and his siblings, Linda Garcia, Pat O’Grady, Steve O’Grady and Tammy O’Grady.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Timothy and Carol O’Grady; and his brother, Daniel O’Grady.

To honor his wishes there will be no formal service. A private celebration of life for the family will be held at a later date.


Jennifer “Jenny” Lynn Rooney: 1956 – 2024

Jenny Rooney, 68, of Cheyenne Wyoming, passed peacefully surrounded by family at UC Health Poudre Valley Hospital after a sudden and unexpected battle with stomach cancer.

Jenny was born Jennifer Lynn Jablonowski on April 15, 1956 to Albert and Marian Jablonowski. Jenny grew up in Michigan, graduating from West Bloomfield High School, the Mercy School of Practical Nursing in Cadillac, Michigan, and Siena Heights University. In 1980, she met her best friend and the love of her life, William James Rooney. Jenny and Will were married November 27, 1980.

Jenny will be remembered for her determination, can-do spirit and caretaking heart. As a nurse for over 40 years, Jenny cared for thousands of patients across many disciplines, all while raising her beloved children and caring for her parents and Will’s parents as they aged. Jenny also loved to care for animals, forming a special bond with every dog and cat she encountered. Jenny enjoyed gardening, trips to the casino with Will, attending real estate open houses, and reality shows on TLC. When Jenny was blessed with grandchildren, Jenny and Will decided to move across the country to Cheyenne, Wyoming to be closer to them and to be a part of their daily lives. Nothing brought Jenny more joy than spending time with her grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents. She will be dearly missed by her husband, Will; son, Tom (Courtney) Rooney; daughter, Megan Rooney (Todd Waters); son, Sean (Sarah) Rooney; grandchildren: Michael (Caitlyn) Breedlove, Trenton Rooney, Patrick Rooney, Owen Rooney, Lily Rooney, London Morgan, Taylor Morgan, and Tripp Lingelbach; great-grandchildren: Eleanor Breedlove, Eliza Breedlove, and Ozzy Breedlove; siblings: Phil Jablonowski, Matt (Lori) Jablonowski, Jayne Jablonowski (Doug Glaid), and Maryann (Pat) Hermes; and several nieces and nephews.

A memorial service will be held on Friday, November 15, 2024, at 10 a.m. at the Wiederspahn-Radomsky Chapel. A reception will be held at The Gathering Place immediately following the service. A celebration of life is planned for the spring in Jackson, Michigan, where Jenny will be laid to rest.

In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to the Animal Care League (animalcareleague.org) or St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital (stjude.org), two organizations that Jenny felt passionate about and supported herself.


Beverly J. Thompson: 1954 – 2024

Beverly Thompson, 70, of Cheyenne, passed at her home surrounded by her loving family. She was born on August 17, 1954, in Pueblo, Colorado to Pete and Viola Howard.

Beverly was in the accounting department at Christ Machinery and Supply and had an in-home daycare for many years. She loved to sew and used those talents to make Halloween costumes for her children and grandchildren and to make quilts for her family. Beverly also made quilts that were donated to the sheriff’s department to give out to the homeless. They were also donated to the Veteran’s Hospital. She was an animal lover and collected anything with pigs.

She is survived by her husband of 48 years, Ed Thompson; daughters, Shannon (Tim) Maycock, Robin Layton; stepson, Kevin Thompson; granddaughters: Alexus, Jamie, Mariah and Makynze; grandsons: Dakota, Bryson, Gavin and Braxton; great-granddaughters, Ryleigh and Lennon; great-grandsons, Easton and Kaisen; brothers, Donald and Harlon; and sisters, Ruth, Patricia, and Bonnie.

Beverly was preceded in death by her father, Pete; mother, Viola; and sister, Mary Jane

Services will be held on Saturday, November 9, 2024, at 2 p.m., in Wiederspahn-Radomsky Chapel. A reception will follow at The Gathering Place located across from the chapel.
