Gilbert Romero: 1950 – 2024

“My Papa,” Gilbert Romero, age 74 of Cheyenne, Wyoming and California passed away peacefully on November 7,2024.

Gilbert was born in Cheyenne on September 28,1950 to Mabel Ellefson (Martinez) and Louis Romero, alongside his eight siblings: Helen, Louis, Nancy, Betty, Ruth, Veronica, Robert, and Vern.

At the age of 18, Gilbert moved to California with big dreams in the big city. He dedicated his career to producing exceptional work in the aerospace industry. He worked diligently to master his craft and became one of top aerospace machinists in southern California. Soon he was recognized by company owners and even featured in a magazine article for his expertise. His skills even took him overseas, where his highly regarded opinions on machining processes were invaluable. Gilbert worked hard to make sure his family was always taking care of. He was so proud of his accomplishments and so was his family.

While in California, Gilbert found his first love, Linda; they shared 30 years together they had four children: Lynette, Doreen, Louie and Steven (affectionally known as Bam Bam); sons-in-law, Geronimo and Nick; daughter-in-law, Andrea; grandchildren: Nicholas, Destiny, Olivia, Maria, Isabel, Abigail, Lincoln, Nixon, Luna and Aurora (expected in January)

Not to leave out numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts, uncles, and friends whom he loved dearly.

Gilbert was an amazing human being known for his graciousness, caring and his love for others and his family. He would go out of his way to help anyone in need. His love for his family and friends was unparalleled and our loss will be felt from Cheyenne to California leaving a profound impact on all the lives he touched.

He will forever be loved and missed but never forgotten.

“Papa,” til we meet again in paradise.

Revelation 21:4 — “And he will wipe out every tear from their eyes, and death will be no more, neither will mourning nor outcry nor pain be anymore. The former things have passed away.”

Patricia Edith (Sullivan) Snyder: 1950 – 2024

Patricia Edith (Sullivan) Snyder, of Cheyenne, passed away at Davis Hospice on October 28, 2024, surrounded by her loving family.

She was born on November 30, 1950, as the much-anticipated baby girl of Edith Riley and Albert Lawrence Sullivan in Bridgeport, Connecticut. She would join her brothers, Ronald, Roger, Richard, and Robert in their family home on Broadbridge Avenue in Stratford, Connecticut. With her arrival began a life-long connection to her family that continues now.

Patricia could not be defined by what she did for a “living”, but rather what she committed her life to. A collector of people, she touched many with her humor, her kindness, and above all, her deep devotion to making the world she lived in a better place. Always the zealous advocate, until her dying day, she would look out for others, doing everything she could for those she considered hers.

She is survived by her greatest legacy, her boys: Matthew Lawrence (Johanna), Nathan Philip and Jacob Lawrence, Snyder’s all. Her brother, Roger Sullivan, remains connected to Patricia as the surviving member of the Sullivan clan. Also surviving Patricia are countless nieces, nephews, and brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, who all loved her so.

Patricia was preceded in death by her parents, Edith and Albert; her brothers: Ronald, Richard, and Robert; and her sister-in-law, Judy Sullivan.
