Frances M. Biederstedt

Frances M. Biederstedt: 1937 – 2024

Frances Biederstedt, affectionately known as Honey, a beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, aunt and friend, died peacefully in the arms of the lord on November 15, 2024, in Cheyenne. She was born in Rock Springs, Wyoming on March 7, 1937, to Emil and Mildred Blazovich. 

 Frances was a quiet, gentle soul that will be remembered for her kindness, never ending love and devotion to her family, friends and God. She enjoyed cooking, sewing, cross stitch, reading, volunteering at the library, and watching sports, especially when her grandchildren and great-grandchildren were playing. It was important for her to send cards celebrating birthdays, anniversaries, special occasions or just to let family and friends know that she was thinking of them and praying the best for them. Her pride and joy were her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Her heart swelled with pride watching them grow and celebrating all of their accomplishments.

 She is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Marvin; sister, Rose Ann Larimore; brother and sister in-law, John and Jean Blazovich; and grandson, Brandon Johnson.

She is survived by her daughters, Peggy Johnson, and Betty (John) Haukap; grandchildren: Shannon McChone, Amber (Justin) Horton and Chandler Haukap; great-grandchildren: Jyreese, Kyauna, Paisley, and Blair; step-great-grandchildren, Chailee and Kaden; brother, Jim (Dianne) Blazovich; sister, Cecilia (Jim) Snow; brother-in-law and sisters-in-law: Willard and Rita Biederstedt, Jerrie Schneider, Irene Biederstedt, Verna Biederstedt; and numerous nieces, nephews and cousin

 A celebration of life service will be held Saturday, December 14, 2024 at 11a.m., at St Paul’s Lutheran Church, 218 E 19th St, Cheyenne, Wyoming.

In lieu of flowers, please honor Frances by sending donations to Peggy Johnson for the care of Frances’ great-granddaughter, Kyauna, who has long term medical needs.


Cheyne Michael Carter: 1987 – 2024

Cheyne Michael Carter, 37, passed away Wednesday November 6, 2024 peacefully in Cheyenne, Wyoming. He is survived by his son, Colten Wesley Carter, 15; daughter, Kassidy Lyn Carter, 6; mother, Diana Marie Voss-Myers; father, Paul Frederick Carter; uncle, John Wesley Carter; stepfather, Alan Myers; sister, Brooke Myers-Arvin; grandmother, Barbara White-Horan; two aunts; one uncle; 12 cousins and many, many friends.

Cheyne was born in St. Augustine, Florida on April 6, 1987. He was quite the jokester with a unique personality that would always liven up a room. He loved the outdoors, fishing, boating, traveling and hiking and mostly riding his Harley through the Rocky Mountains of Colorado.

Cheyne graduated a welding program from Tulsa Welding in June of 2012. He enjoyed the challenges of the profession chosen that ranged from pipefitting, fabrication welding, to making ship decks. He was a traveling welder, working in various states all over the U.S. as a member of UA Local 234 in Jacksonville, Florida from 2013 to 2019 and Pipefitter 208 Union of Denver, Colorado from 2020 to 2024.

Services to honor Cheyne’s Life will be held in St. Augustine, Florida in the next month or so.


Harry C. Crawford: 1933 – 2024

Harry C. Crawford, a beloved physician and cherished family man, passed away peacefully on November 19, 2024, in Cheyenne, Wyoming, at the age of 90. Born on November 25, 1933, in Kingstree, South Carolina, he was a spirited, red-headed southern boy known for his kind heart and infectious chuckle that could light up any room.

Dr. Crawford pursued his education with dedication and tenacity. He attended Citadel University and was accepted to medical school during his junior year, ultimately graduating from Tulane University with his doctorate. He specialized in obstetrical and gynecological care and was passionate about the care of his patients, always demanding only the very best in his practice. Among his many accomplishments, he made a significant mark as the first doctor to deliver triplets at Warren Air Force Base, a testament to his skill and commitment to his profession.

In addition to his medical career, Dr. Crawford proudly served in both the United States Air Force and the Army, achieving the rank of Lieutenant Colonel. His time in the military reflected his dedication to service, and he garnered respect for his leadership and commitment.

Harry was not only an esteemed doctor but also a loving husband, father, and grandfather. He is survived by his devoted wife, Lura Crawford, and their three sons: Robert Crawford, Ashley Crawford, and Robert T. Nelson. He is also survived by his daughter, Victoria Nelson, and his legacy continues through his eight grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

He was predeceased by his father, Harry C. Crawford Sr.; mother, James Leora Crawford; and son, Harry C. Crawford III. He also mourned the loss of his two older sisters and son, James J. Nelson, who all held a special place in his heart.

Beyond his professional and family pursuits, Dr. Crawford had a passion for golf and was a loyal supporter of the University of Wyoming’s football and basketball programs. His zest for life, devotion to his family, and unwavering commitment to his patients leave an indelible mark on all who had the privilege of knowing him.

Harry C. Crawford will be remembered not only for his legacy of care and dedication to the medical field but also for his warmth, humor, and the love he shared with his family and friends. His spirit will continue to inspire those who carry forward his values of kindness and excellence.


Helen F. Montez: 1927 – 2024

Helen F. Montez, 96, of Cheyenne, passed away at Davis Hospice Center surrounded by her loving family. She was born on December 15, 1927, in Wheatland, Wyoming to Theodore and Ysaura Flores. 

She married her childhood neighbor George Montez. When George returned from the war they eloped to Bridgeport, Nebraska and were married for 69 years. They started their life together by working for the Union Pacific Railroad in Bosler/Laramie, Wyoming. Helen later went on to work for the University of Wyoming where she rose to the position of head housekeeper for the president of the University. A passion of hers was politics where she was involved in many aspects. In 1977, she went to Houston, Texas as one of the delegates from Wyoming to participate in the first and only federally funded National Women’s Conference in U.S. history. On the local level, her biggest achievement was fighting for and receiving a Federal grant to improve the streets and sidewalks on the west side of Laramie. After retirement, she continued her favorite hobby of gardening, which lead to volunteering at the Cheyenne Botanic Gardens.  

She is survived by her two children, Elizabeth Suazo and George A. (Kathy) Montez; two sisters, Francis and Angie; four grandchildren: Michael Suazo, Cherri Johnson, Anita (Don) Dragoo, Helen (Rocky) Montez-Carr; four great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild. 

She was preceded in death by her husband, George; granddaughter, Kathleen Suazo; son-in-law, Levi Suazo; brothers: Bruno, Jesse, Anthony, Paul, Philip, Frank, Gregory, Robert and Philip; and sisters, Phylis and Lucy. 

Visitation will be Thursday, 12-4 p.m. and Vigil for the Deceased will be at 5 p.m. at Wiederspahn-Radomsky Chapel. Services will be Friday, 10 a.m., at Holy Trinity Catholic Church.

Gloria Ann Moore: 1943 – 2024

Gloria Ann Moore, a cherished seamstress and beloved member of her community, passed away on November 19, 2024 in Cheyenne, at the age of 81. Born on October 12, 1943, Gloria touched the lives of many with her incredible talent and unfaltering spirit.

As a seamstress, Gloria was not only skilled in her craft, but she also took great pleasure in the artistry of creating beautiful garments. Her passion for sewing was evident in every stitch, and she had a remarkable ability to transform fabric into cherished pieces that brought joy to those who wore them. Gloria’s creativity and attention to detail made her a sought-after figure in the world of custom clothing, and she took pride in her work, always striving for perfection.

Gloria, known for her warm-hearted nature and generous spirit, was more than just a seamstress; she was a confidante and friend to many. Her laughter echoed in the hearts of those who had the privilege of knowing her. Gloria’s kindness and empathy extended beyond her craft, as she frequently lent her talents to community events, helping others feel beautiful through her creations.

She leaves behind a legacy of love and artistry that will live on in the memories of those who were fortunate enough to cross paths with her. Gloria will be profoundly missed, and her impact on her family, friends, and community serves as a testament to a life well-lived. May her memory continue to inspire others to embrace their passions and share their gifts with the world.


Laura A. Pappalardo: 1924 – 2024

My grandmother went to be with God and her family in the kingdom of heaven on November 14, 2024 at 100 years and 4 months old.

Laura was born July 10, 1924 to Albert and Josephine Samborski in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. She married Pasquale Pappalardo,Jr. on Sept. 11, 1948. They had two sons and raised their family in Huntington Station, Long Island, New York.

Relocating to Cheyenne, Wyoming in 1991, where they lived together until Pasquale passed away in September of 2005.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, and four siblings: Rose, Albert, Mary, and John.

She is survived by her sons, Samuel (Manat) of Cheyenne, Wyoming and Raymond (Heidi) of LaJolla, California; five grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren, with an eighth on the way; eight great-great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews throughout the country. 


Patricia Ann Putman: 1960 – 2024

Patricia Ann Putman, born on March 23, 1960, passed away peacefully on November 20, 2024. She leaves behind a legacy of diligence and warmth, having dedicated many years of her life to the field of accounting. Patricia was known for her meticulous attention to detail and her commitment to her work, traits that were admired by her colleagues and friends alike.

Patricia was a beloved sister and daughter. She is survived by her cherished sisters: Lynnette (Tim) Stark, Carol McChesney, Beth (Dale) Keen, Connie (Charles) Budreau, and Leslie Kenitzer. Her brother, Joe (Darla) Tankersley, and her mother, Arline Putman, also mourn her passing. Patricia was preceded in death by her father, Dennis Putman.

In her personal life, Patricia was vibrant and full of spirit. She had a profound love for the colors purple and green, which brightened her surroundings. She enjoyed participating in bowling leagues and engaging in bible studies, activities that allowed her to connect with her community in meaningful ways. Avidly collecting baskets and cow figurines, Patricia’s home was a testament to her interests and passions.

Friends and family are invited to honor her memory at a memorial service to be held at Ascension Lutheran Church in Cheyenne, Wyoming. The service will take place on November 26, 2024, beginning at 10:30 a.m., with the service concluding at 11:30 a.m.

Patricia Ann Putman will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her. Her warm spirit, dedication to family, and joyful personality will forever remain in our hearts.
