CHEYENNE, Wyo. — Cheyenne-area residents should be able to enjoy some sunny skies and warm temperatures to start the weekend, though the National Weather Service in Cheyenne predicts that the weekend could end with rainy conditions.
Today will be sunny, with a high temperature near 82 degrees. The NWS in Cheyenne reports that light southwest winds will reach speeds of just 5–10 mph today.
At night, temperatures are expected to fall to a low of about 49 degrees. Winds should remain fairly constant after sundown.
Sunday will see a 20% chance of scattered showers in the early afternoon, turning into a chance of scattered thunderstorms around roughly 3 p.m. Temperatures are expected to reach a high near 83 degrees.
The 20% chance of isolated showers and storms will continue past sundown until roughly midnight, the NWS in Cheyenne reports. Sunday night should see a low temperature of about 49 degrees.
