Smoky areas, light winds to start the week in Cheyenne

CHEYENNE, Wyo. — Low humidity and breezy weather will raise the risk of fire conditions in Cheyenne this week.

The National Weather Service in Cheyenne reports that haze and areas of smoke will permeate throughout Wyoming’s capital city Monday. The city will also experience a modest breeze of 10–20 mph throughout the day.

In addition, southeast Wyoming will have elevated fire weather conditions on Monday, per the NWS in Cheyenne’s forecast discussion.

Temperatures will sit comfortably in the 70s throughout the week during the day and drop into the mid- to low 40s at night. The highs and lows over the next several days are as follows:

  • Monday: High of 77, low of 42
  • Tuesday: High of 78, low of 45
  • Wednesday: High of 77, low of 45
  • Thursday: High of 81, low of 46

Skies will be sunny Monday and throughout the rest of the week.
