CHEYENNE, Wyo. — Smoke is expected to permeate throughout parts of Wyoming’s capital city yet again Wednesday.
The National Weather Service in Cheyenne reports that skies will be clear through the end of the week, but areas of smoke will hit the city after 9 a.m. The smoke is due to the ongoing wildfires in western and northern Wyoming.
“Unseasonably warm and dry weather continues well into its third week today,” the NWS in Cheyenne’s forecast discussion states. “A northwest breeze will still produce fairly widespread elevated fire weather conditions.”
Despite the potential for hazy air, Cheyenne’s air quality index remains fair as of Wednesday morning, per AccuWeather.
Still, sunny skies and cooling temperatures are on the horizon through the end of the week and the weekend.

- Thursday: High of 80, low of 43
- Friday: High of 69, low of 44
- Saturday: High of 75, low of 37
