Sunny and mild conditions continue through Wednesday with warmer temperatures and light winds

CHEYENNE, Wyo. — Breezy conditions are returning to southeast Wyoming today, with dry weather expected through Wednesday morning. Temperatures will likely reach the low 60s by this afternoon. The current front moving through the Nebraska Panhandle may result in slightly cooler temperatures in Cheyenne early today, according to the National Weather Service in Cheyenne. If the low-level inversion doesn’t break, temperatures could struggle to reach the forecast highs.

Overnight, winds will shift, bringing warmer air to areas north of the Cheyenne Ridge. Expect lows around 35–40 by morning.

A strong cold front will arrive Friday, bringing cooler temperatures and a chance of precipitation. The system may bring high-elevation snow and rain showers across the area. Friday’s high will be in the 50s, with more precipitation likely over the weekend.

A frost advisory remains in effect until 8 a.m. for Goshen and Scotts Bluff counties. Watch for gusty southwest winds Wednesday and Thursday, especially in southeast Wyoming. A fire weather watch has been issued for parts of the Nebraska Panhandle and Converse and Niobrara counties due to low humidity and gusty winds.
