Relatively warm weekend expected for Cheyenne area

CHEYENNE, Wyo. — Cheyenne-area residents may be able to enjoy one of the last warm weekends of the year over the coming days, according to forecasts from the National Weather Service in Cheyenne.

Today will be mostly sunny, with temperatures climbing to a high near 72 degrees. Moderate west-southwest winds should move through the region at 10–15 mph.

At night, skies are likely to remain mostly clear. The NWS in Cheyenne also reports temperatures should drop to a low around 39 degrees.

Sunday will again feature clear skies and temperatures climbing to around 71 degrees. Winds are likely to remain fairly constant from Saturday.

After sundown, the NWS in Cheyenne reports that temperatures will fall to a low of roughly 46 degrees.

Saturday and Sunday could mark the last days with temperatures around 70 degrees for the rest of the year, with a cold front and even a chance of snow later in the week on the horizon.
