CHEYENNE, Wyo. — Cheyenne will experience mild weather today and Friday, with warmer-than-average temperatures for mid-November. The National Weather Service in Cheyenne forecasts highs around 5 to 15 degrees above average, peaking in the mid-50s to 60s under mostly sunny skies. Southwest winds will help keep conditions mild across southeast Wyoming.

Temperatures will stay relatively warm on Friday, though increased cloud cover may cap highs in the mid-50s. Winds could increase in the usual wind-prone areas by Friday night, driven by an approaching trough.

A cold front on Saturday is expected to bring cooler weather, with the potential for snow showers in northern and higher elevations. The high will likely drop to a seasonal average on Sunday before another, stronger cold front arrives Monday or Tuesday, which could lead to much colder temperatures by midweek. For now, conditions look dry, but there’s a chance of snow by Tuesday as temperatures fall significantly.
